About me
I am a bilingual Registered Physiotherapist and registered yoga teacher (RYT) who practices in the Ottawa area.
I have been working in private practice since I graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Ottawa in 2007. Over the years, I have pursued post-graduate coursework in several areas in order to hone my skills and update my knowledge base to better serve my varied clientele. I believe that in order for optimal recovery to occur, that the whole person and the whole body need to be taken into account. This allows me to be more focused and helps to provide a more individualized treatment plan. I spent the first half of my career working in private practice with a focus on orthopaedics and sport related injuries. I volunteered extensively with local sports teams and events. Additionally, I worked part time in long term care and retirement home settings. In 2013, I began working in oncology (cancer) rehabilitation and lymphedema management. I pursued additional advanced training and became a Certified Lymphedema therapist. In 2019, upon my return from my last maternity leave, I decided to deepen my knowledge of yoga and completed a 200 hour teacher training. This was been a pivotal moment in my career and allowed me not only to offer yoga as a therapeutic option but taught me how to better connect and hold space within my sessions. When not practicing, I am spending time with my two kids, husband, dog, family and friends. I balance my busy life by remaining active and enjoy running, cycling, pilates, yoga and strength training. But to truly unwind, I find my real calm through the outdoors and photography. EducationBachelors of Science in Physiotherapy - University of Ottawa (2007)
